ROM's Dead Sea Scrolls Exhibit In The Jerusalem Post

The Jerusalem Post looks at the efforts of Toronto Jewish groups to counter pro-Palestinian groups that are protesting the Dead Sea Scrolls exhibit at the Royal Ontario Museum with the claims that the exhibit is of stolen Palestinian materials. The main effort is to simply increase attendance of the exhibition which has already exceeded projections by 52 per cent as 2000 people a dead see the exhibit.

Once people see that all the scrolls and other materials exhibited were created by Jews in a Jewish kingdom centuries before the start of Islam or the arrival of Arabs in the area the pro-Palestinian claims seem ridiculous.

An editorial in the National Post by Ed Morgan, a professor of law at the University of Toronto explains the Israeli / Jewish position more fully.
